Known as the ‘The Awesome One’ he has a reputation for doing what is right – both in making bait and using it to good effect in the fish he catches – with many high 40’s to his name, and with a 50 pounder in his sights.
Neil is a stickler for doing what is right, believing that anything associated with his name should be the best in class. As Head Bait Technologist, Neil has accumulated 14 years expertise in formulation and production, and every bait DT Bait Developments produces is the result of his high standards.

I have been carp fishing since 1986, and my journey has taken me around a large number of waters. I moved to DT baits this year, an easy decision when I saw the quality of the bait, and the fact these baits have stood the test of time. I knew the DT range has accounted for many big fish, and I understand the importance of using a high quality bait which is a massive edge in today’s competitive angling situations. I was also impressed by the range, from having a dedicated winter bait, one if not the best ever made, to fishmeals, and a fantastic nut bait. These really give me options anywhere, and the flexibility to suit a bait to a particular water. My present choice is pukka fish with peach and sour cream.

I have been fishing for a lifetime, well in fact it was at a early stage in my life around the age of four or five to when i caught my first fish and never looked back from that moment. I have touched upon many angling tactics from match fishing, predator angling and specimen angling to where it lead me to my beloved carp angling to this date.
My fishing nowadays really is only for carp. That is where my passion is at, my heart and that is what drives me forward hunting these creatures down as and where i can. From the canals to big wind swept gravel pits here home in the UK or a Belgium River i can be found out there somewhere.
I have been lucky enough to have caught some pretty amazing carp while i have been fishing, from old 40 year old fish to some of the named fish in certain lakes they live. And now i love nothing more than chasing any carp going making my images along the way. Photograghy plays a huge part with my fishing and has become another part in my life capturing my lifestyle, nature and my captures and you won’t see me very far away from trying to get that next great image that then lasts a lifetime.
Over all the years of being out there fishing, you do learn more and more every time you go. And a good bit of advice i still use to this day is to keep a open mind to where you are going, you might not get your favourite area of the lake, you might not get your favourite lake even, but you make what you make of it and fish to your maximum potential and hopefully the results come as you want them.

I’ve been fishing since the age of 4, catching all sorts of species until getting that passion for carp angling that all of us share! I’ve fished all sorts of waters, from large low stock pits to the small intimate waters where stealth and wit are key, and love them all! I started using DT in 2020, and from the very first session, on which I caught well, I knew this was the bait for me. I had some great results straight from the off and it continued right through the winter. In November 2020, I joined the team. Since then, I have tried a good selection of baits and products from the range and had nothing short of phenomenal results. I fish a wide variety of waters, hunting some of the biggest and best carp from all over the UK, and everywhere I go, it works! Already being accountable for countless 20s as well as numerous 30s and 40s, never before have I had as much faith in anything than what I do in this bait, and I know that it will continue to produce big fish for me everywhere I go!

Terry has been chasing carp for 30 years and gets great enjoyment chasing the true english fish with plenty of character. You will find Terry on the bank throughout the year as he doesn’t get phased or put of with the drop in temperatures during the winter months.
You may of heard of Terry before if you have read Rob Maylins book “A history of Yateley” volume 3 as he was invited to write a section and even appeared on the back cover.
Another skill Terry gets involved with is photography and video work, watch out for his work.

My love for the sport started as a teenager, when at every opportunity I would cycle miles to the stretch of canal between Heybridge and Maldon to fish for any species.
However it’s only been over the past 8 years I have enjoyed the buzz and excitement of carp fishing. Whilst beating my PB is always the target, it’s the joy of being on the bank with my son and catching carp of any size that keeps me going back time and time again.
My favourite method of fishing is using a solid bag with the CWGB take 4 Wafters.

I have been fishing since a young lad and got a real buzz for carp fishing in the last 5 years.
I predominantly fish small intimate waters in the Essex area but have started to branch out and test my skills at larger venues which over the years has seen me have some stunning fish.
Since joining DT Baits my confidence has skyrocketed as Bait choice is one less thing to worry about. My go to Bait choice would be the Supa fruits I fish this all year round and I have real confidence in knowing that when turning up to the venue the only thing I would have to worry about is location and Rig choice

I’m Pete Topham and I have been with dt baits for the last 5 years.
I fish mainly around Lancashire, there isn’t many big fish waters up here however since moving over to DT I’ve done well under the circumstances. I am currently on 3 local syndicate waters one of which is an 8 acre gin clear weedy lake that has some real lovely dark carp.
I have tried most of the DT range to good effect but still find myself going back to fishing Supa fruit 15 mm with a washed-out pink Supa fruit pop up or the Cult classic’s Banana. Also worth mentioning is the Scopex Cult classics have done me some good fish too.

I started carp fishing in 1976, and cut my teeth on Chelmsford AA’s waters.
I have been lucky enough to fish some of the UK’s premier waters like Harefield and Ringstead. Having moved from Essex to Cambridgeshire I now fish the St Ives complex of Lakes .
I have been a team member of DT Baits for 5 years and my favourite bait is N-Blend with a Scopex Cult classic pop up over the top.

I’m a Kent based angler and target a number of waters in my local area. I’ve been using Dt Baits for about 3 years.
I’m Currently using a fantastic custom mix boilie which has seen me have some brilliant results.
My favourite product from the DT range has to be the bait sprays. I’ve used them to great effect both soaking my hook baits and using then in conjunction with PVA bags. The bait sprays are my personal edge and the pulling power these offer are a game changer.

Junior team member Bobbie Pettet may only be young but don’t let that fool you he’s a very adept angler. He adores his fishing and loves DT baits, his favourite out of the range is bubble gum Cold Water Green Beast however our new Crustazia bait has got Bobbies seal of approval and his results this summer using it can’t be argued.

I have been using DT Baits now for over 20 years and I have full confidence in the whole range knowing each bait serves a purpose.
If I’m fishing a water, I don’t know much about my go to bait would always be Cold Water Green Beast or Supafruit.
At the moment I’m using big beds of pink custom rolled Supa Fruit with the matching DNA liquid to good effect having had some very special fish along the way. I know a lot of people prefer fish meals in the summer but everyone can always squeeze in something sweet even when they’re full up!

I started fishing when I was around 10 with a piece of cane, some line, a hook and maggots. I then got well into match fishing where I joined many club waters in and around the Colchester area
I got into carp fishing the day I went to the Fenns in Bocking.
I was absolutely over the moon when I landed the biggest common in the lake which then was only 21lb but huge to me at the time and really the rest is history.
I tried a number of different bait companies over the years until one day I met DT’s Neil Messenger at Fryerning fishery where he introduced me to some of the DT range which was around 15 years ago.
Since then, my catch results have gone from strength to strength with fish up to 59.8 as well as many 20s 30s and 40s.
I’m proud to be a team member to the best bait company around.

I Started fishing in the mid-80s following my elder cousin up and down the rivers hunting for chub.
This saw me progress to carp fishing in the early 90s.
I started my obsession with carp on Silver End front pit. Sometime after that I had a chance encounter with Neil Messenger in the early 2000s this led to me using DT baits and I haven’t looked back since. I’ve got many 20s and 30s under my belt but I’m still hunting for my first 40lb fish, I know it’s just a matter of time.
A while ago I was offered the chance to come and work for DT and seeing the hard work and effort that was put into pushing the company forward, I couldn’t say no to being part of an amazing team. My go to bait out of the range is The Fish Blood and Orange and it’s served me well over the years.

Like a lot of anglers I started fishing as a young boy with my dad, just with a pole and fishing for perch, tench etc at frimley. I then had some years away from fishing and decided to teach myself carp fishing when I was 18 via magazine articles. Since then my fishing was really slow due to various factors, until I took a plunge a few years ago and started fishing a 27 acre gravel pit. Through meeting a very good angler on the bank, who is now a team consultant at DT I was given some pointers and also introduced to DT baits. My fishing hasn’t been the same since, and I have caught on 4 different DT Baits ranges.
Through the combination of my hard work to learn more and improve, mixed with a fantastic bait I have come on leaps and bounds in a short time and I am very excited to be a part of DT baits.
I’m a keen angler who is always striving to develop and improve all aspects of my angling. I am somebody who likes to do the things I enjoy well, so I put a lot of effort in to seeking those personal achievements. I look forward to continuing this path with DT baits and I am excited for what the future holds. Great company, great people, great bait.

I’m Essex based and are lucky to be surrounded by so many syndicates, club lakes and rivers. I’ve been into fishing for as long as I can remember, 30+ years now and would say carp fishing 25+ of those years!
Me and some close friends really worked at our fishing apprenticeship as young lads, slowly building tackle over many birthdays and Christmases together. We would always be fishing every weekend and school holidays, if we couldn’t get a lift we would bike with the rods strapped to the frames or barrow miles with our dads wheelbarrows over ploughed fields just to be able to fish. As the years went by we got better and better slowly tackling different lakes learning everything we could!
My angling time is very different now, starting a family. I’m very much a quick overnight angler, taking the odd days holiday for longer trips capitalising on those prime times of the year!
I’ve been using DT Baits for 6+ years now, and just have so much confidence in it I wouldn’t use anything else, it’s always produced the goods for me, endless 20’s many 30’s and quite a few 40’s too.

I have been fishing since the age of 10 and carp fishing has been a massive passion of mine since the age of 15.
I do the majority of my fishing in the Southwest where I am based. However having previously served on the RAF I’ve had the opportunity to catch fish from different areas of the country .
I like adapting to all styles of fishing, Whether it’s big open waters or small intimate lakes.
Since I began using DT Baits, I’ve had incredible success, catching on my first trip and continuing to catch consistently since including a current UK pb of 47lb 10oz.
My confidence in the bait is always sky high and my favourites amongst an amazing range are the Fish Blood and Orange and the Cold Water Green Beast.
