We are back in Europe
Since Brexit there has been a change of rules meaning it has become very hard for any bait company to get products into Europe. Many companies have teamed up with factories in Europe to produce their products for them. At DT Baits we did not want to go down that route as we cannot control the quality that we have become known for.
Lake owners across Europe know the importance of good quality bait not only for healthy fish growth but also water quality which is why you should consider a premium carp bait thats manufactured in the UK.
Produced in the UK
All our products are produced in our manufacturing factory in Essex where we keep tight controls on the quality of ingredients used. To ensure the finished products from boilies through to hook baits and liquids meet the very high standard DT has been known for since 1988.
Once we have a shipment ready to leave the UK we complete all the relevant paperwork and health certificates that are signed of by the UK authorities before getting health clearance.
The shipment is then collected by a dedicated lorry and security sealed before it leaves our factory. The Lorry then makes it’s way to the border where it is then inspected by customs officials and onward paperwork created.
Partner in Europe
The final destination of the lorry is when it reaches our distributor in the Netherlands who has been distributing other carp fishing manufacturers goods for many years. Here our complete range of carp fishing baits are stored in a secured warehouse which has also got all the required approvals needed.
All our customers from retailers through to lake owners can then get deliveries direct from Netherlands via parcel networks or pallet services. This saves our customers huge amount on shipping fees and no import taxes or duties to worry about.

The Graviers Dijon
Back in 2017 I approached DT baits about supplying me with a Winter feed for the Main lake here at Graviers…. and in particular the Cold water Green Beast that I had heard so much about over the years…
I feed just boilies in the Winter with the idea being that with the bigger diameters, so the 22mm and 24mm boilies, the feed will not be wasted on the other species in the lake due to the size, and could sit around for several days if required until the Carp find it, which is important when the fish are not really moving around a lot in the low water temp’s…. smaller food items like grains and pellet just run the risk of being eaten by the small stuff before the Carp get a chance, so are effectively a waste of time and money in my opinion.
Digestibility was also an important factor… as it is essential the Winter feed can pass through fish easily whilst still supplying them with the nutrition that they require to stay fit and healthy.
The Green Beast offered a perfect solution for me… as the all important digestibility and required nutrition is already in place, and the bait can be rolled to your specific sizes and hardness by the lads at DT…. and it’s also one of those rare flavours that seem to be really easy for the Carp to detect, and in turn accept even in the coldest of water…. and there’s not many flavours like that around!
A knock on effect from feeding the Green Beast, has been that it has become a very successful bait for the anglers that use it here at the lake too… sounds obvious I know as they get fed on it for 4 to 5 months of the year…. but occasionally some things are obvious in a complicated world!
Although billed as a cold water bait, the Beast has been responsible for some great catches throughout the season here at the Graviers for those groups that use it… and for me also when I get the chance to fish!
