Introduction...
I started fishing at the age of 13 and Like many, I started out fishing for whatever came along on the local canals and rivers.
Eventually I crossed paths with a carp caught off the top in the canal and from then on in, I wanted to catch more and bigger carp. I dabbled with pike and parch fishing for a while but carp are what really drive me on and I fish all year round.
At the start it was all club and canal fishing due to the financial limitations of youth and I spent many many hours stalking carp in the edge with freelined bread often visiting 3 or more lakes in a day so when I started fishing busier lakes I found it hard to sit in one swim for any length of time, always believing there was a chance to be had elsewhere. The love of stalking meant I had a penchant for smaller, more intimate waters and margin fishing.
Doing well on club waters and being more financially sound, I joined my first syndicate in 2013 and after a slow start, I started to catch regularly and some of the better fish too. It was around this time that I decided I wanted quality shots of my captures and so began my journey into the world of photography.
Since then I have gone on to have some very successful campaigns on several syndicate venues including Virginia water and my fishing and photography exploits have seen me write articles for a two leading tackle companies, a couple of the magazines and also a large chapter in the book a history of yateley volume 3 as well as being a consultant for Rhino-tec and part of the Thinking anglers promo team.
