I started fishing some 30 years ago, and with nobody in my family previously into fishing I can’t really remember y I started! I guess back then as kids we spent a lot of time outdoors playing etc and it was a good way of spending a Saturday out away from the parents! I spent a few years with a close mate reaching the rivers and canals for anything that swam mainly catching small silvers, but it was all about the fun and being free back then! 

After them few first years and as we got better and more consistent in catching r thoughts grew to catching bigger fish, and so the buzz for carp fishing began! We joined a local club lake, and spent many years swapping out our cheap Argos set ups for tackle more geared up for carping, and before we knew it we were truely hooked on carp fishing! Through out our teens we would spent every Saturday and Sunday (when there was no football) and every school holiday day fishing! 

Many years later with various lakes and syndicates fished the buzz is still as strong as it ever was and carp fishing is the biggest constant thing in my life spanning over 30years now! I’m lucky to now b in a position to represent DT Baits for the last 6years aswell as a consultant for Atomic tackle 

Having a young family fishing these days is a little different for me, like most I’m a short session angler with a quick mid week overniter between work and a Friday nite session at best for me! It’s rare I string 2 nites together! Having confidence in my bait is key for short sessions, and I have every ounce of confidence using dt bait, specially the Nblend my go to flavour!
