Fished from a early age of 8 years old from fishing the river chelmer with my dad and older brother catching Roach Rudd Bream Perch and the old pike I was soon hooked on the fishing buzz 

 

It wasn’t till around the age of 11 till I got the carp buzz fishing lakes on caravan parks on the family holidays away this was when it all started 

A size 10 hook with a cube of plain old spam was catching me and my brother lots of carp , then eventually evolved to boilie fishing and a dedicated carp rod  was brought with my first pay check from my first job 

 

Soon as I had a driving licence that was it I was off doing nights with friends over chigbrough and some other malden waters also layer pits

And from them days on I’m still angling and loving it 

 

Basic hair rig and a stiff hinge rig

 

 

Typically Cold Water Green Beast up until late spring then will move onto the N-BLEND 

 

Spent the last year at a local water mainly but did do some socials on plenty of lakes up and down the country

 

 

Spend time looking for the fish when you arrive at the lake also keep your rigs simple and never over complicate your angling

 

 

I fished a charity match early April and after seeing a lot of fish at a decent range on the surface I decided to try zig fishing this was way out of my comfort zone as not had success in the past with zigs but I stuck with it after loosing a few fish and resulted in two cracking 20+ mirrors
